Ingredients that help with acne

One of the most important factors for healthy, glowing skin is using the right skincare products with the right ingredients. The right ingredients can make all the difference in the effectiveness of your skincare routine and can help you achieve the desired results.

Zeoliet Vulkanische poeder_Zeoliet

Zeolite is a 100% natural volcanic clay mineral with purifying and soothing properties. Its high concentration of minerals creates a detox environment for the skin and rebalances acne-prone skin.

Ceramides

Ceramides are epidermal lipids that are important for the skin's barrier function. It is a class of molecules that are necessary in your skin barrier. Fluctuations in ceramides levels in your skin can be associated with a number of skin conditions such as psoriasis. Ceramides are added to cosmetic products to improve the skin's barrier function and replenish the skin from the outside.

Squalane

Squalane, also known as squalane oil is a colourless, odourless moisturiser. Squalane does a lot of things for your skin:

  1. Hydrates and softens
  2. Prevents moisture loss
  3. Treats damaged and irritated skin
  4. Balances oil production
  5. Prevents the lipid preoxidation that leads to acne: peroxidation squalene in your sebum oxidises and this promotes inflammation, clogged pores and oxidative stress in the follicles.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, has soothing properties, strengthens the natural skin barrier, softens fine lines and wrinkles, improves uneven skin tone and reduces the size of pores. All these ingredients can be found in our Back in Balance day cream, which will already help you on your way in the fight against acne.
