"I still remember your PhD interview, and I remember you saying, 'I'll come and listen to your project.'"

"Because it's about delivering medication through the skin, and actually, my dream since childhood has been to launch my own cosmetics line!" Barbara: "I don't even remember saying that." Jo: "Absolutely, because I remember us thinking, gosh, we don't exactly intend to launch a cosmetic right now. But the fact that you were so driven was very positive."

That LED technology often uses very low-energy light, so long wavelengths that have an effect on the skin. I have to say, we also use it in the clinic for things like mouth ulcers, or for people who have had chemotherapy. It really does provide pain relief, so I can imagine it being less harmful to the skin than UV or even providing a bit of a balance. It stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and strengthens blood vessels.

Nomige, know the skin you're in.
